How many 600w lights to fill a 2 car garage?

I live in Colorado, but Im moving into a new place in about 60 days thats in the desert, and I want to downsize my rig a bit and only grow at night, instead of using a flip-box (Horti-control-8 to run 2 crops (8 x 600w lights each) on a 12/12 for 24 hours a day. Im worried the high day time temperatures will be to hard to fight, and so prefer to just let them sleep in an air conditioned environment (12k BTU portable) during the day, and just have lights/fans on at night.

Yes I realize this is a big grow rig, and thats another reason why I want to downsize it, and just flower in a 2 car garage. I have plenty of fresh air intake ready ( 4 x 10" vortex fans, 2 in, 2 out, and a 10" fan on a 10" x 39" Phresh filter in the rafters venting out).

Currently I have (14) 600w ballasts on (20) medium adjust a wings with light spreaders.(don't forget the the 8x flip-box which I want to eliminate from the rig.) Id like to properly fill the 2 car garage with light fully, and sell off the rest of my gear.

This allows me to veg/clone under a couple 600s in a large bedroom and shuffle the ladies into the garage every month as needed.

So, if YOU where going to fill a standard 20 x 20 garage with 600s on medium Adjust a Wings, how many would you use? I did the math and came up with between 8 and 12, but for the life of me, I cant find a spec or tech support sheet for the adjust a wings anywhere on the web, so I'm not sure what the exact footprint is going to be. I guessed it at 6' x 6."

Im a giant Viking of a man, so I need a good couple feet around the edge to walk etc, so Im basically looking to create one giant canopy in the center with a small sidewalk around the edge for my fat ass to work from.

Thoughts?

(Waits for hecklers to shout "Go on a diet!")

Ok then, Thanks in advance!

Gonna want to use 3 600w's for a 8'x4' room (Going on the understanding: 1000w = 4'x4' and 4'x8' = 2x1000w = 3x600w), so for a 20'x20' you're going to need around 21 600w lights.

Do you plan on making it all one section? Or dividing it into two rooms in the garage?
You could use one of these

Figure out your footprint with the perimeter walkways . X feet by X feet. Then plan on 3' x 3' primary light per 600. Then You may want to add another row because your losing the wall reflection w that perimeter walkway.

Why aren't you using a light mover? You can get either a horizontal light mover that goes back and forth and have about 4 of them or get a light spreader that the lights sit on a 4 wings like a big fan and they spin around in a circle. Plants don't need constant light. I have no idea why a lot of people are trying to re-invent the wheels.
