What is the lowest lighting cycle you can go on without flowering you plant

13/11
14/10
15/9

???????????????
id say 11 is pushing it.. even 10, in my opinion nothing more than 9hrs darkness, but, i dont see why you'd want that.... your plants are building more foliage with lights on, building more roots while lights off.. so, why not leave the light on as much as possible? then they'll grow, as much as possible... seedlings i let go 20-4, about 1 week in, i switch to 18-6 and leave it there throughout.. im a big believer in, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.. so just do it that way, unless you have specific reason for wanting less light, but i cant seem to think of one

your gona spend as much money either way, with shorter light veg is slower so you just have to veg for longer. your just spending the money over a longer period of time unless you get a decent discount for night time consumption.

i think 24/0 is bad, they need to rest at some point too.. imagine if someone shined a light in your eyes all night and u couldnt get a moment's rest.. plus like i said, roots are done at nighttime, so, i think overall your plants would go better 18\6, but just my advice

Thats no comparison at all, it's just stupid.

I go 24/0 for the first 2 weeks, then 18/6 from then on.

peace :bigjoint:
hmmm, lets see... leaving light on 24\0 and saying someone shining light in your eyes all day isnt a good comparison???? well then what the fuck is you moron? as a matter of fact, there aren't many BETTER comparions, wow you're a tard.. you trying to tell me they don't need a dark period?? that plants benefit frmo 24\0??? lolllll than you my friend, are the stupid one.

and to clarify, when your plants are at their youngest, and you want ROOT developement, you purposely hold them back from developing their root structure?hmmmmmmmm

you could just go 8\16 (8 hours of light) and your plant won't flower. will grow pretty darn slow tho.
If electricity bill is the issue, I would just use less light.

Easy guys... Someone's getting a little to but hurt over this! lol, straight up, there is now one light cycle (or way to grow for that matter) that is the best, it's whatever works best for you personally! Just listen to what everybody has to say, take in all of their input, and do what YOU think needs to be done.

Now that being said. I go 24/0 the ENTIRE veg cycly, then simply switch to 12/12 when I'm ready to flower. I see absolutely NO problem with this! I have pix of my plant if you wanna see proof! Healthy as ever!

Also you should have seen the root ball on my male that I cut down last week. MASSIVE! And guess what, yup, he was on a 24/0 light cycle for the first month while vegging... I didn't see any problems with his root growth on 24/0

Ok, where to start. No need to call me a moron when you don't know me or anything about me;-). Also, by the way you have lost your rag here, i would infact call you the moran because only moron's act like that.

Good comparison you say, What the fuck has light being shined into human eyes have to do with a plant growing i ask you?

Now, it is said by most of the top grower's even the best that leaving lights on 24/0 for the first few weeks does no harm at all and does not stunt a plants root of foliage growth.

Check it out, read about it.

In fact i recon that most of the grower's in this forum leave their lights on 24/0 for the first few weeks too.

You are a complete fool for what you believe, i dont give a fuck what photoperiod you use for veg or flower.
When you understand a little more about growing then i suggest you return comments, but until then SHUT THE FUCK UP!

So for you stupid outbirst, lack of knowledge and understanding i declare you the retard, Have fun:bigjoint:

P.s don't be scared to learn:finger:
