Mikey: You shouldn't have to wait long. Depending on the condition of the seeds you should see something withing two to four days. Aerogarden says five to seven days but mine have never taken that long to sprout. But why did you do that? You can get grow pods cheap, if you buy them in bulk, for about 50 cents each and those seed kits are expensive. They're also good if you bought them from Aerogarden. Look for their bulk sales at Aerogarden's web site a couple of times a year and you can cut down on the costs of growing supplies. Their Master Gardener kit is another good idea because you have enough stuff for couple of crops with your own seeds. It comes with re-usable cages, grow pods, labels and humidity domes, plus a grow log and instructions.

I would suggest you plant your seeds in your Aerogarden if that's where you want them to grow. If you plant them in your grow pods you don't risk damaging the tap root when you try to transplant them from somewhere else later. I hope that helps. HSA
