How Long?

as soon as the weather outside is warm enough you can put them outside but, you should wean them into it if possible. Meaning, set them outside for a few hours a day for a week or two gradually increasing the time they sit outside so they get accustomed to the weather, especially the cooler nights otherwise you can shock them.

I have this miraclegrow stuff tht provides nitrogen and phosphate and is alsosupposed to help prevent shock should I use tht If I can only harden them off for about 5 days?

You need to get them accustom to the great outdoors. Indoors they are protected from the full power of the sun. You need to slowly expose themto sun . Me personally, I just put mine out and have never had an issue.

All day, first day, but no more than a couple hours full sunlight, the rest of their outdoor recess, just shade & dappled sun. Your plant may not get a shock from the miracle gro, but it may give you a shock. See dirtdoctor.com, click the "Library, then click "S", then scroll down to Synthetic Fertilizer. Make sure you have 12 hours per day sunlight prior to leaving them out.
