Ive got a blueberry bubblegum that i have vegged for 9 weeks in a 5 gallon bucket. I just transplanted it to a 30 gallon container and id estimate im using 20-25 gallons worth of soil.

All my previous grows have been less than a month veg or 12/12 from seed so could use some veteran advice.

I was thinking a month more, but there is no way for me to pull up the plant to check its roots as it weighs over 100 pounds.

You can take any long thin item(I use one of my stakes) and check the roots by pushing the stake into the soil at different places. This will not hurt the plant.

30 gallons indoors? Just a guess but id say 8 plus weeks of veg. Thats alot of soil

thats what i was thinkin..lol. i have no clue about a 30g..but i can say that a 7gallon will put out 6oz's consistantly with 4weeks of vegg every time. good luck, sounds like ur gonna grow a monster.

Indoors...looking for those who have done similar. I topped for 4 colas then i would let it grow then LST it horizontal to the soil. Preceded to do that to all the new as the weeks went on while topping the inside too many times to count. At the moment from the container up the highest cola is less than a foot so it has a even wide canopy. 350 Watt cfl's.

Its pretty sweet because the two main top colas grow in sets of 3 nodes. I might post pics further down the line

It is really more 20-25 gallons as i cut down the edges of the container a few inches...no height restrictions.

Whoooaaaaa 30 gallons is huge. And here i thought my 18 gallon pots may be a little exsessive. If you really want to fill the roots out in that container it would take around ten weeks is my guess. I bet your yields will be huge, as i can crop 8 oz plus under a 1000w hps

i dont know if its just me, but i think u can accomplish the same thing in half the size planter/soil. just lst or supercrop ur lady as normal, right over the edge of the planter and put a 5g bucket along the side of the planter to support the branches. its kind of how i do it only i put 4 or 5 upside down buckets all around my plants that i do lst on. the main branch will rest on the bucket and grow 10-12 colas each and as the branch gets heavy from all the beautiful pot growing on it, most of the time u dont have to tie or try and prob ur buds up with string and zip-ties or any other crap that just gets in the way because the main branch will be strong enough to hold it all no problem.

The idea is to give it its own closet so it can be 6 ft long 4 ft wide. It already has close too 100 tops...alot are tiny but will develop soon enough

I remember reading an article in some pot mag in the early 2000s written by Soma, and he was all about growing organic in 30 gallon containers. I tried it back then but meh, wasn't worth the effort. Ahhh brings back memories, I was getting free Elephant poop from the San Francisco Zoo, that stuff grew AMAZING flowers.
