How long until it sprouts?

How long after the seeds have popped (germinated) does it take too come up through the soil? The last attempt they came up after 1 day (I could actually see plant). This time it's been 48 hours since they were put into containers and nothing is coming up through the soil. WTF? Is this normal?

You should wait alot longer. I've had seeds that had popped and even then it took 2 weeks for the damn thing to sprout and come out of the soil.

Patence is a virtue right? LOL, 1 came through (while sleeping). It's looking nice so much better than my last attempt, the root looks 2-3 X's thicker (last ones fell over from streching & weakness at 2 weeks). These babies I did my homework on. I got 6 going right now with 11 more still germinating. I was going to take 1/2 of them outside but I think I might go with straight inside (I think it would better to control them inside). Maybe I will take 1 or 2 outside and basically walk away besides water control if needed.

Thanks for the quick responses.

The one that popped still has the seed attched, the last time it didn't have that. It's still the same height tonight as this morning. I am going 18/6 until flowering so maybe after it get's some sleep tonight it will grow more. There are 7 now that have popped (germinated) and are receiving the light. Currently I have 2- 150wt CFL's with a reflactor & 2-75's. I am going to buy 4 more 150's and 2 more 75's. That will give me a total of 6- 150 wt cfl's & 4- 75 wt cfl's. I don't know what the actuall is on the 150's. The 75's actually are only 19 watts. I fucked up & didn't read the label in the store (too high). That's why I am adding the extra lights this w/e. My camera is broken or I would take some pictures.

The temperature is staying between 75-83 degrees with humidity around 40-50%. I also have been checking the water level with my rapidtest stick. The soil I am using is MG potting mix. Anyone got any more advice or ideas?
