how long to run my light 400 watt MH

in my second stage i am in right now my transplanting stage i am 11 days into it just now showing my first set of leaves which makes four total i am running my lights which is a 400 watt mh bulb for around 15 hours a day is that to long just right not enough alos it is 81 temp 37 humidity fans running co2 going nutes and ph all check perfect

my plants are about 17 days old how many hours on how many off the seeds r just some homegrown seeds from last year this is my first time indoor growing first grow

once they are rooted you will notice a huge difference in their growth. This is when you switch them from 24/0 to 18/6

leave light on 24 hours or leave it on 18 pick one and stick to it keep times the same once their a foot or two tall switch to 12 on 12 off
 
^^^ Yep, agree with above posts, run them at least 18 hours a day until flower. Like beardo said, pick a cycle of on/off and stick to it. Bouncing around the photo period wether in veg or flower will increase your chances of a hermie with feminized seeds.

personally, i would recommend a 20-4 or a 18-6 but some dark period, not only fer ur ballist sake, and longevity of the life of it, but also to keep the bill down, and ur plants need a good resting period fer good root growth, as they do most of there growing in the dark hours. thats y they tell u tho chop b4 lights on. so the nutes r in the roots and not the buds.

ok thanks guys where i live is a bad ass place to do this just in the states so gta watch my shit close and what i say but this place is where its at cant thank you all enough iwill switch them to 18 hrs until flowering i have had them on 15 for about 2 weeks now just 15 b/c i get home from work around 520 and leave in the morn at 820 just easy that way like to run my stuff when i am home so if anything happens can take care of it i am super happy with indoor growing way way easyier than outdoor tanks again guys
