How long to clean 2 gal. of water

I'm not so sure the stuff even evaporates. IDK, maybe it evaporates really slowly, but I tried checking it before and after, with a PPM meter, and never saw any difference. That was after sitting for 2 days. I could be wrong, 'cause I imagine that some evaporates, but i don't think it's very much, or something to worry about. :)

the boiling point is like 20 degrees f and i dont think the chlorine atoms bond to the water molecules so it should evaporate as i heard.

The ppm on my tap water doesn't change either, no matter how long it sits out. I wouldn't worry too much about chlorine in tap water, some growers say it helps keep the water and roots clean. So by "cleaning" the chlorine out of your water you could be doing just the opposite. I've always used tap water right out of the faucet with no problems. If you have dissolved salt in your water then that could cause problems.

A PPM gauge measures dissolved solids not gases such as chlorine. I like to let it set at least overnight and preferably a day or two. They claim it will dissapate faster if you air bubble it. I dont know for sure but it sounds plausible. Seriously doubt it would hurt much to use it without any wait time. The chlorinated water from the pool dont seem to hurt the other kind of grass.

B/c i was thinking it would make the water penetrating the seed shell harder.

How long do you think it will take to clean 2 gallons of water of chlorine and fluorine?

Thanks so much, never seen a thread dedicated to water and all the kinds of cleaning processes.
