I have grow a lot form seed, but have always taken about 8 weeks with a pl;ant after germing it to wait to determine sex as well as for it to grow to the height and size i like to flower plants at. I have moved and am setting up a new garden and am going to be using a small space and a small vertical clear. Plants are going to have to be short and though this is not a problem if I were doing sensemilia growing I will begin doing almost all my grows from seed as they are breeding projects and am worried if I have to veg them for 6 weeks before I can flower them because for soem reason Im under the impressiont aht teh plant, when grown from seed can not be flowered until it has developed its sexual orientation, or at least has come somewhat close. t

If I am wrong about this and I can put a seedling into flower after 3 or 4 weeks it will save me time, space, allow me to run more of my testers for pheno hunting my P2s for a lot of my projects. Thanks for your help RIU, this informaiton is very important to what I decide to do next for setting up my grow.

You can do 12/12 right from seed. There are a few growers on here that have things tuned in and are pulling 2-3 ounces per plant using this method.
You are correct. Even a plant on a 12/12 light cycle will not begin to flower until its sexually mature, usually 3-6 weeks old.

lol^...You will have increased yield and potency if you wait for alternating nodes (the final sign of full sexual maturity) however it will work if you flip them ahead of time...imo you're already doing it right don't rush them :)

Eatimated 45 days depending on how fast she grows. I wait for first white hairs.

That is a really interesting piece of information! Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try the first few rounds at 4 weeks. This gives me a plant at about a foot tall which is what the limits for medical are based on in OR. His should allow me a few more plants per year as I should be able to have everything over a foot in flower.
