how long till ambers take over

Hey all I'm hoping someone here can help me. I'm on day 83 flower with my pineapple chunk.
I checked her last night and she has 10 % amber 80% cloudy and 10% clear.

I can't harvest this girl until 4 days away due to other commitments.

Does anyone know how quick thricomes degrade to amber? Clearly I would harvest now if I could but I have to wait.

Im worried that in 4 days ill be looking at 30-40% amber which is not what I want.

So how long will it take for amber to take over? Or will I be fine to wait 4 more days.

I don't know for sure, but I think in 4 days you will only get minimal change to amber, like 10% or so. that's really a guess on my part. Just chop the whole plant and hang it somewhere, takes 5 minutes.

Amber = Degraded Man... If you have 10% amber, either your plant has/is/was sick...
Or it is way past due, and not healthy...
Amber = Degraded...
Harvest it already...

    The third state is amber. Amber trichomes contain degraded THC --> CBN. CBN represents a loss of 90% potency (from THC).
    CBN is not desirable in any harvest, since it not only represents a huge loss of potency but research into the substance has also shown that CBN does not produce a high like THC does, CBN produces a more sickly feeling not a true high.

A healthy plant will not go all amber on you if it is healthy...
I have left plants in Bud after I cut top cola off...
Four extra weeks... no amber... just more harder nugs...
I could leave my plants an extra 5 weeks in Bud, and only on a few would I EVER see amber...
So... You can't harvest NOW...
You're stuck harvesting later...
So... It is what it will be... don't worry for nothing...

Here she is a few days. I had a cal mag problem around week 5. This is my first dwc grow. Its been a bit of a learning curve. So im thinking I'm going to flush for 2 days then leave in dark for another 2 days then harvest.IMG_2014032625179.jpg

Day 83 is pretty long for an indica plant.
Overall, I wouldnt worry about 4 more days.
Just keep a regular light cycle until chopping them down.

Cheers mate. I would agree with you there problems with leaf colour started turning gnarly when I added pk 13 14 for 3 days apart.
Here is a pic of one of the more done buds. Still has plenty of white hairs growing although I belive not all strains they turn brown?

That looks more like 2 weeks away from being done than a few days.

"Older leaves are initially chlorotic but soon develop dark necrotic lesions
(dead tissue). First apparent on the tips and margins of the leaves. Stem and branches may become weak and easily broken, the plant may also stretch. The plant will become susceptible to disease and toxicity. In addition to appearing to look like iron deficiency, the tips of the leaves curl and the edges burn and die.
Potassium - Too much sodium (Na) displaces K, causing a K deficiency. Sources of high salinity are: baking soda (sodium bicarbonate "pH-up"), too much manure, and the use of water-softening filters (which should not be used). If the problem is Na, flush the soil. K can get locked up from too much Ca or ammonium nitrogen, and possibly cold weather."



Just to add, it can also get locked up from too much Mg.

Thanks for the info. This girl really was picky with her feedings. She never went over 1000ppm 2EC. I wouldn't grow pineapple chunk again thats for sure. I bought the seed because it was claimed to have short flowering time 55-65 days indica dom. She has ended up with a lot of sativa traits with bad stretching at the start of flower and "airy" buds.
I was expecting a nice indica with dense buds. I feel I have been mislead.
O well I have a pure kush for my next run. Can't wait.
