How long does the strech last?

soo im about 2 1/2 weeks into flower and my plants grew about a foot alrdy..im worried about the penetration of my 400w im told its only goot for about 2 1/2-3 ft..and my plant is 30in right now..so im wondering when the 12/12 stretch will stop?

Sunday...grew like 10in in 1 week

Til it stops...for some reason I thought I had made it through my plants stretch and I was like phew! Because they were just about too tall, and then last night they shot up again...it was in error on my part though, because the stretch lasts between 2 and 3 weeks...sometimes longer depending on how long the plant takes to finish...

yep...I had a clone that was maybe 5-6 inches tall, and it is a foot tall now...and is making buds from the soil to it's top of course...pretty awesome...I think I really might start keeping moms and flowering tiny clones...tired of lugging around big plants in heavy pots..lol.

If you are worried about light penetration you can add some cheap CFL's on the sides, or chop off the areas that would turn to popcorn bud.

I would only need one clone at a time though, and my cloner does 8 at a time...I would hate to run it for only one at a time, and doing the clones in soil takes too long when compared with the cloner...but aww man...anyway I know I am all off topic, but you got me thinking...

it is a bitch...I always have to super crop at the last minute...it doesn't change the way the buds grow after a certain point in flower, as in if you already have colas, and you have to bend one over the original cola keeps getting bigger even though it is not necessarily on top anymore, at least this is what happens to me...anyway, I just bend them over as I need to, if I need to...
So some of my buds end up shaped like Ls, but who is going to see them but me, and possibly you guys? so whatever....I find that longer flowering plants will stretch a little, but shorter flowering plants stretch way way more, in my experience...but they all just like explode...I like it...I rarely take pics though...I used to, and then I stopped, and now I think I need to start again. I miss seeing the before and after photos...because the smallest of plants won't even be recognizable...lol.
