How long does it take?

If I used, say, first lady as my first grow, how long would it take till i can harvest it?

On various sites it says the flowering cycle is around 50 days. Is this till it flowers and buds, then you have to wait for it to mature? Or is this total time till harvest time?

thats just the floweriing time, then add a further 2-3 for harvesting, trimming, curing

each grow it rather individual...even under seemingly similar circumstances.....for example mine? I am at 71 days (from sprout) .... and prolly got ...a few weeks left.....but I have seen people that statred after me by a week to ten days, and they will likely harvest earlier....strain, and growing environment....? its a crap shoot for me as a novice for sure!

So with this plant, which flowers in about 2 months, i can have harvested and cured in like 3 months? ish?

90 days....thats prolly pretty safe....that leaves you a month of vege.....those people that choose to vege longer often experience improved yeilds over shorter vegeing....the plant simply has more time to grow bigger....given adequate light, water, nutes....and air. on the opposite side...there are those that choose to flower after like 2 weeks of vege.....and these plants can also produce great quality...just not as much of it.

What is the minimum time I should veg? And this is 24h light?

ie minimum time i can harvest with a 2 month flowering weed. still 90 days? Can I get away with less than 2 weeks veg to speed up the harvest?

I do not have the specific experience you speak of.....I expect that you can do two weeks of vege...and then flower for your 2 mnoths.....am I assuming correctly that this stated 2 months is from the packaging? if so, then that will reflect "optimal" conditions, which would seem most of the time a tough rung on the ladder to grasp. so you might exepct that with what might be terms early flowering? then you might extend your flowering period by a significant amount of time....in my case...my top44 was supposed to be done in 44 days.....I'm at 52 and likely will go 70days? grrrrr! hahahahahaha....but you should let them mature properly WHATEVER or REGARDLESS of what you do on the vegeing side.....

Can you post your grow details i.e. grow space size lights etc. We need this info for proper advice

well...its rather convoluted....but started with 5 gal pots, Top44 and BigBud seeds....under 9 x 42W CFLs for three weeks...then under 400W Super HPS....now 52 days in total. Soil (basic professional potting soil) and nutes from day one. moved BigBud into separate 2 gal pots at three weeks. made so errors and continued to manage my way through....about 2-3 weeks away from harvest.... take a look if you have a bit to read more details....cheers! Tahoe's doing it - stepping up to the plate....we're ready.....
