How long do white hairs take to turn brown/red?

One of my plants has been flowering for about 5 weeks now, in the last few days the buds are really starting to plump up. I also noticed that a couple of the thousands of white hairs has started to turn brown. Was just wondering roughly how long it takes for them all to turn brown? Im not sure what it is as it was bag seed, (very nice bag seed)

Get yourself a microscope to check out the trichomes. Depending on the high you want harvest by the trichomes not the hairs. I harvest when they are all cloudy, wth a hint of amber to about 40 to 50%, just a hint of amber though for me. I like the head buzz.:peace:

The more amber you have, the more couch lock high. All cloudy is a great head buzz. The longer you let it get amber though it gets weaker I find.

That might work but you can pick them up pretty cheap at radioshack, like under $20.:peace:

when the trich's are all clear the thc levels arent yet at their most potent.
when the trichs are all amber the thc was at its highest levels but has since started to dwindle. the most potent thc levels are when most if not all trichs are cloudy with a few amber. this is when i always harvest.
