How long can my seedling/s survive in rockwool cube?

Ok..my problem is that I took a clone.from my mates bag seed plant in flower.. I put it under full light in tent..took 2 weeks to revert back to veg, its been veg for 2 weeks now, still quite short dense bushy, has a while to go...since then I have sprouted 1 pure kush for my mate and 1 white widow for myself...theyre getting ready to throw their third set of leaves, showing lots of roots, how long can I leave these in rockwool and nutes?

I usually make my own clones with an EZ-Clone ---
they go from cut to dixee cup in dirt in 10-11 days.

Last Jan. I started over with fresh clones. The place was hesitant on the phone to sell them because they said the roots were just barely peeking out of the rockwool. I knew I wanted them becasue you can 1" rockwool cubes fit right into an EZ-Clone... Once I saw the clones had fine hair roots - some coming out of the rockwool a bit I new I could plant them directly into the dirt. I used a 1K MH that was 10 ft. above them for a few days, then I lowered the light to 5 ft.

What I'm getting at is if they were mine, I'd leave them in the rockwool and they just grow right into the dirt. After havest you will see the little 1" cube still around the bottom of the stalk.

For watering new clones going into soil I just use PH Down and a drop of Superthrive in a gal of plain water for a week. Then I start giving them a 50% lower than normal dose of nutes.

You can leave them in rockwool indefinitely. A lot of hydro systems use rockwool as the root medium. I have kept clones in cubes for a couple months to mix into my rotation. You will need to be very careful with your fertilizer but no need to soil them if you can't.

Awesome, cheers guys, clonings not my problem just my timing lol..im planting in hydroton not soil...just wanted to know how long I could veg in small rockwool cube...thanks fellas....indefinitely sounds a bit much but reassures me im ok haha

You can plant them in soil or continue with hydro no reason to take them out of the cube at all.

As for nutes mine get nothing until four weeks and than it is 25 percent of what bottle says than I increase 25 percent every ten days.

cheers chrishydro, no intention of removing them from rockwool bud, was baked when I posted this, my problem is that I only got 1 pot and limited grow space, as I have to wait for my mom to mature then harvest, I feel I have taken cuttings a little early and was fearful I may lose clones before my 1 pot is ready/free..its all good

I leave mine in the cube for the entire grow. I grow in a waterfarm and I don't think hydroton is the most stable growing medium for a seedling.

mine also stays in the cube but the cube..gets planted in hydroton...not sure if I'm speaking spanish here but no one seems to understand wtf I'm sayin! I'm not doing seedlings im doing cuttings....can I veg cuttings for say around about 3 months in their riginal propagation cubes 45mmx45mm...veg

I know the answers yes, but after more research I think ill wait til after flower to take cuttings...thanks for the input guys.

What you plant them in is what the stay in.
