How long are people waiting to hear back from Health Canada ?

With waits that long my current med card will expire before I could get mine done so might as well wait until I get that renewed in August and apply then. Stupid system. If you have a permanent condition then you shouldn't have to renew every f'n year. They used to do that with provincial disability here then you have to come up with $160 for the doctor and cross your fingers that you would get renewed in time to pay your rent and eat. Now it's just a yearly review of finances and a note from the doc that you are still in need.

Vets have to PROVE they have NO LEGS every year ... in order to qualify...
like they grow back..

You could have had your first harvest already completed; mine took months aswell.
i veged, got my regestration,expired before i finished flower-had sent my renewal 8 weeks in advance of expiring date, started secound veg-and got my renewal - 14 days lapse in Their Regestration; Not my Perscribtion.
I ignored their comments about destroying my medication should their paperwork take them to long to complete.
i have personally been into the police station upon receiving my first regestration..
they knew the expiry date and its medicinal.

I have not had any law enforcement show up at my door trying to violate my rights.
i won't tell you what to do, judge your situation for yourself-but your not alone and this is how i delt with my similar situation.

I'm assuming that was directed at me and believe me I'm not waiting around for HC. I got 27 plants just about ready to crop and more ready to take their place tho not 27. Been doing at least 3 crops a year for the last 16 years with 14 years in this house.

Permits?! I don't need no stinkin' permits.

That is clearly f'ed up. I guess they just look at it like it is another revenue model, along with drivers license, plate sticker, OHIP renewal etc., etc. if they could streamline the renewal process it would a lot less stressful, but I am with OldMedUser. I do not wish to spend money to get the nod from the gov, I am just going to gamble and grow it regardless.

Finally got mine yesterday.
19 weeks on the dot from the date HC received my app.

You should see how big my plants are that I just started yesterday hahahaha what a bunch of tards

I dont understand where these "charges" are coming from?
The only one i have been subject to is from the doctor themselves, the 25 dollar cost of filling out Health Canada's paper work.

Ppl whos Dr wont sign the forms end up going to a clinic. The clinic charges an admin fee for using skype or similar and consulting.

They usually charge another admin fee for sending you the original document and helping fill out HC forms.

Unethical but a sweet business model really. Dr sees like 100 ppl in an hour n makes like $10k. Crazy

After two years of supporting the big corporate LP industry I have applied and sent my documents to HC to be a registered personal grower, but I have to admit after reading this thread that I am feeling pretty discouraged about the whole legal grow. However what's done is done and I'm going to continue gathering supplies over the next few weeks and if HC can't get their shit together then I will grow anyways as I currently can't afford my prescription any longer!

Do it, i hope you kept a photo copy of all the documents, and perscribtion- as well as the date sent and receipt from mailing it.

if so Gather supplies and i starting a vegg.as mentioned.
If your secound guessing that, maybe half your approved plant count? - or maybe only 4 -to be your mothers and take clones off of.

Yeah, I keep everything. I still have all documents from the previous prescriptions. I now have proof of three years requiring this same 3g/day prescription.

As far as plant count, i'll probably only be growing 12 in 3 gallon pots so I'm not too worried as I'll be under my limit anyways.

What floor space are your planning to occupy?

I'm just going small. I can build the room pretty much any size I want but I don't want to get back into multiple lights and air conditioners again. I'm thinking a 4x4x8 room with a 1000w.

Im at a month and a half and don't expect it for another 3-4 months. I'm about to finish a cycle and by the time it comes, I'll have another dozen or so ready for harvest. I'm not waiting for HC to send me a piece of paper when my prescription is all I should need for medical purposes. But I am keeping it stealth to be safe. No need to be flagrant about it and attract the eye of some cop with a chip on their shoulder.

They have mine on file now. Received May 3rd. Called 2 days ago and nothing so there's a good indication

Well after looking at all the good strain info out there I decided to pull the trigger a little early on some hopefully top notch genetics well before my HC registration gets here. I ordered 10 Sweet C99 & 10 Kush Berry form PeakSeedsBC.

Unless on a light rail, 1k will only effectively cover a 4'x4' area.
