how important is water quality in aero?

hello everyone, I'm new on riu and new to aero. I've been doing soil grows for a few years now but recently made the switch. My question is how important is water quality when running an aero set-up? I am on a well and have extremely hard water with a lot of dissolved solids. I had the water tested and it is potable but I do not drink it (it is that bad!) How will this affect my grow? I really don't want to buy a RO system. Thanks in advance for everyone's responses.

hydro costs. spend accordingly. shitty water isnt a good idea when your plants are going to be in it.

you might wanna buy water by the gallon at wal mart or somethin....might cost ya but like the other guy said your plants are gonna be in it

hey conno, i hear ya hydro costs! i have already built the stinkbuddy aero cloner, veg, and 4 flower systems for relatively cheap. i'm just so over soil for the moment. It's so labor intensive, messy, and I can't ever leave home for more than 2 days at a time. I haven't had any issues using this water in the soil grows, i just don't wanna get into this aero thing too deep and have the damn water be the problem.

What's your ppm at for the well water.

I'm using the stinkbud setups too! The Aero Cloner II and Veg II units as well as the Jr. Flower system. It's INCREDIBLE by the way. you are going to be very very happy.

i dont know the ppm exactly...i had it tested 4 years ago when i bought the house. cant find the report now...i don't have a ppm tester yet as i have always grown in soil but obviously will be purchasing one soon. yeah, i've heard good things about the stinkbud systems so i'm excited to try them out (and to just do something different for a change)

How much space do the 3 flower systems take up?
