i have a 240 c2100a driver powering a pair of quantum boards and at full blast the driver is running at 150f i looked up the specs and it stated that up too 180f was ok but geez that pretty hot if u ask me ... i run a hlg 550 which has a 480 c2100a and that driver is 110f on the light running full power

My 240h-c2100 must be running in the same range as yours.. i dont have a thermometer for it but its pretty hot to the touch.. i have some air flow for my lights and driver at the same time but its still pretty hot.. those beast can take it..

the 480s have about 4 times the surface area and are slightly more efficient as well.

where youre 240 could be dissipating a little less than 25W of waste heat the 480 has a much bigger case and is prob dissipating just over 35W of heat

how about the quantum boards my hlg 550 panels are at about 150f after running my home built light which obviously is pushing a tad more power the panels where about 180f .... i guess thats just how they work right ?
