Ok @spazo here are some pics of the way I learned to set up tents.

The intakes are 7" semi flexible duct. You want more than double the exhaust size for passive intake. This was my solution.

It has black ac replacement filter foam from Home Depot attached to both ends. The 2 layers and the bend made it pitch dark inside. If light may hit it direct just paint the inside flat black.

Black women's pantyhose works well too.

The last pic is the stealth window board I made. It has blinds mostly closed on the outside and is painted black so it looks like a normal dark room.

You may only need to duct the air out from above the open reflector of a 315. I only have fans blowing in between for mine and the room filter takes care of the rising heat.

But every situation is different so you have to research and figure it out a little. It's a learning process. I had no gardening or hvac background before I planted my first seed 3 years ago.

By the way. I hang the light high and use stands to adjust the plant height. And I always keep them about 30" tall or less. And I didn't always back then but I usually bend every plant so it branches up for many tops.

And I would shoot for 18" for your 315 and watch the plants response for a while.

Have a good grow.

Solid as man.
Alot of info, good to see your setup and great description.
I will look at getting bigger ducts now i think that would def help and use the blackout trick.
Much appericated.

Taking it to the next level.

Nice I'm just doing research on the CMH and this thread came up. Looks like a solid light so far.
Just would take 3 315's in sunlight supply reflectors to cover the 3.5' x 7' area I use the 2 600's for.

People are exaggerating results and not giving info about Grow style and reflector type. I need to penetrate 4-6 oz dry yielding bushes.

Hope this helps steadyeddie

Last question for now, how's the heat compared to the 600? I need to make a decision today either cmh or a cob kit

Nice i am going with the 315w, I'm looking at the model with the built in ballast, I see you have the remote ballast. Any difference ?
Yes. The more expensive Phillips ballast included sun system reflector has a brand name 98% reflective insert. The original remote one had the Phillips ballast and better insert as well.

Now they offer the dimmable galaxy ballast and the cheaper 115 dollar remote reflector ( got at growers house) and it has a Chinese fully pebbled reflector. Not the 2 tone cool one in the all in one.

I would buy more of them. The setup with bulb was $360. I took a chance as I have been happy with sunlight supply stuff.

Doesn't seem to be hurting my garden much though. It seems quite like the reflective insert in my Blockbuster.
