Whether or not you need calmag with coco depends on which nutrient line you use. Some nutes, yes you 100% need it, others have plenty of calmag in the formula...then another factor is your water-some tap has a lot of calcium in it-my teapot says so. This is just a good example of why blanket statements should be avoided as much as possible.
Yes its good when it's put across sensibly like you have done by covering the variables like tap water nutrients etc, however I've read numerous times that you must use calmag with coco regardless of anything.
Anyways now I know for sure now with my own experiments.

what you got going on with those leaves? Mg issue?
I think (hope) its to much calmag, it happened when I added calmag to the nutrient it was visible on the 2/3rd day, I've stopped it and all the new growth is fine.
I'd read so much conflicting info the only way to find out for sure was to try it out and see for myself, results...i don't need it.

In all honesty I should have added a caveat about the Calmag stating water source EC but figured with my source water EC0.2 it would have been evident that my water was low in EC.
my kettle tells me I’ve got enough Ca but my plants tell me differently.
IME I have found that around week 4/5 of using the coco you can begin to see issues with Calcium uptake due to the CEC of coco and the way it binds Ca and delivers back K.

It could also be the amount that you added?
if You raised your EC with Calmag more than 0.2-0.4 then you can get issues with uptake of either due to an excess of either.

And in answer to this I would stick with the grow at 1.2 for the first week of stretch. Then up it to 1.4 for the second week of stretch.
go in with the bloom nutes at 1.4EC then back off to 1.2 during early flowering while your fruit setting is starting.
after around 3/4 weeks of actual flowering you could crank it up to 1.4 or 1.6 if you want to push it.
add your explode etc around end of week 4 beginning of week 5 on a 8-10week strain.
then when swelling begins I start to back down my nute strength 0.2 EC each week until I finish around d 0.6-0.8.

I go heavier on Ca/Mg in Veg. Feeds the coco and preps the plant for flip.
Running Co2 and Leds.
