is it ok for roots to sit in the nutrients of an aeroponics system?

For sure. It also makes it easier to keep an eye on solution level and root health/progress.

I've recently watched the SeeMoorBuds videos. and the Aero setups they use in some of them have roots long enough that the eventually are underwater like DWC. They add a little hydrogen peroxide, it prevents root rot.

yes because the water is oxygenated like in dwc. kinda the same thing but with more work
