I'm 1 week into flower an plants have taken off pretty well. No actual buds yet but white hairs popped out of the tips this morning. I have a 8x4 tent with 3 1kw lights. I have a net setup and ive been pushing tops back under and the sides of the stems have been popping out new shoots like crazy. Theres like 15-20 top sites each plant with direct light.

My question is should i be trimming certain amount of the stems under the canopy? This is supposed to increase yeild by having certain amount of sites with direct light rather than a billion sites using all the energy of plant that dont have the direct light? If i should trim them i feel like right now is perfect time or last chance to do it before there is actual buds.

Plants are not huge. Theyre in soil and about 2.5ft tall from lid to top of plant. The canopy is about 1 3/4 feet above lid of plant.

I would recommend trimming them down to a single branch and then weaving it throughout the net. It doesnt serve any purpose but it just looks damn cool!

you can get a clear image if you hold a pair of sunglasses infront of the camera
btw I would also recommend wearing sunglasses when in the room :)

I would leave it! For now, that screen should really have been filled at least 50% in veg before u flowered. you can take off all the really low shoots that will just produce popcorn buds anyway

I would lose the netting, it's just going to get in the way and those plants don't need it. I trim the undergrowth at about week 2 to 3 and I do it under the lights so I can see what isn't getting any light. I trim at least the bottom third and any straggly branches.

Good luck

actually I think he should keep the netting, this can work as a place for the plant to lean on and support all the nice buds that will grow.
Looks like its a good setup and easy to work around the net.

The netting has let the lower shoots come up a great deal which is what i thought the purpose was instead of pinching an snapping the stem (supercropping i think)

I have been folding the big tops under the net so doesnt look like much and pictures suck. Also it seems like the net would hold the buds up the way it sits but if those sites grow alot higher than the canopy than they may flop over anyways ontop of net lol... today is day 8 exactly. Been getting watered every other day with low nutes. 440ppm. Next week ill up nutes to about 1k or 900ppm.

Also, i trimmed 1/3 in veg before flowering like supposed to. They just grew alot more now and wasnt sure if i should continue to trim the underside as it grows. Prob cant see in pick but good 7" base of plant is all stem and semi up the shoots were trimmed in veg. This is also my very first flowering cycle so i know its a learning curve for me. Theyre healthy an just wanna get most i can off them to get money back so i can add few things... co2 is coming next week to help plants an to keep my heat at good level when the ac has to shut off for 15min(gets 82*)

I vegged inside different room so when i put them in 12/12 i lowered net till the tallest tops were just at canopy to let them grow into it.
