How far away from harvest?

When do you think I should harvest this bud? I thought I'd give it about another week to let the trichs cloud up a little and to give the hairs time to darken.

Also, as far as drying my bud before the curing process, what is the best way to do this?

Additional info:
3x26 watt CFL, I think I did alright for that low of wattage.
I was trying this to compare it to my 400 watt MH hortilux blue lamp I bought.

Go to your local hobby shop & buy a hand held microscope 30x minimum pref 60x or more. There usually 15-30 bucks. When 2/3 tricromes are milky white & the remaining 1/3 are amber you are ready!! Your medicine b lookin tasty for the budget lights!!

how long has she been in flower?
8 weeks today. I know CFLs take longer though.
I think its an indica/sativa mix, leaning on the sativa side (but it's bagseed)

My other 3 plants are doing well. I just chopped one today, it finished fast, and I wanted to harvest one a little early for the 'up high'. I have a sativa that I topped twice (4 HUGE main colas) that looks like it has another month on it, but it has been in flower under 400w MH for 8 weeks today. My other one is similar to this one, also under the 400watt though. Its nugs are only slightly bigger surprisingly.

also, when I asked about the drying process, I know how to do it, but there ARE different methods. whats everyone's opinion on the best (not fastest) way?

You cant tell. From that picture it looks like it needs some time, I can tell by the colour. You need a microscope to check without that you cannot tell.

i dont know what the best is, but i will tell you what i do....
after i chop the main tree stem, i cut off each individual cola, i then cut the bigger leaves but leave the smaller ones.
then i hang it in my closet on a string and i turn a fan on for about 4-6 hours a day, pointed away from the buds.
then i turn the fan off and let them marinate the remainder of the day.
i do ths for about 4 days.
right before the stems feel like they will snap when you bend them, i trim the rest of the leaves.
it might bea little difficult, but i find sometimes just using my fingers to pluck the leaves is easier than scissors.
then i cut the bud from the stems and jar them up for a few hours.
they will be wet, so i open the jar and let them dry out a bit kinda giving the jar a shake to re adjust the buds.
then close it back up and each time i close the jar up i leave it a few hours longer than the last time.
i do the jars for about 8-10 days.
any point after 5 days would be good enough to smoke, but if you really want it to stink and taste smooth i suggest leaving it jarred longer.
the longer the better.

i read some guys on here cure for over a month.

my 2 cents.
