how does this germination attempt look?

I did the following germination attempt:

pre-soak rockwool cubes, put seeds into small holes in the rockwool about 1/4inch down and put under 24/7 light immediately

should I not have them under 24/7? the guy at the hydro store said i can germ in the cubes and put them under light right away

it has been 4 days and i have not seen anything sprouting yet. should i revamp this attempt by soaking them in water first? or should i leave them be?

you need a little more time

Personally I would have left them in the dark until they sprout and then put them under the light for 24/7 for a week or so then 18/6. Leave them in the rockwool and turn the light off until they sprout.

I just turned the lights off. have i done any damage by keeping them on?

Probably not. They should sprout in a day or so.Make sure you put them under light as soon as they sprout or you will get stretchy stalks .What kind of lights are you using?

i'm using 2 4ft cfl bulbs to germinate, then i will move to a 400w mh and my ebb and flow table after that
