she's now 7 days old (her first week)
she is working on her 4th set of leaves..
finishing up her 3rd set & growing some flowers out the main stem..
up close i can't see node spacing.. it's weird..
it looks like they're growing all on the same node.. haha
i need to get a camera with the macro setting though.. lol

comment/opinions appreciated..

looking fine keep those nods close by keeping it close to the light the closer the branches the more bud up the center of the plant, don,t let it stretch

okay, so i have a bit of a problem..
it's the morning of day eight for my plant..
her roots are growing out of the drainage holes..
i thought this 5" deep pot would be okay for her..
but, obviously it's not deep enough for her..

so, i got a 9" deep pot from my neighbor..
& it's only 4" deeper than my last pot..
does anyone think, i would need a deeper pot?
if so, it won't be able to happen..
my growbox is only 23" in height..
subtracting 4-5" for the lights hanging down..
leaving only 18" left of height..
then subtracting another 9" inches..
leaving 9" of grow space for my plant..

i don't know what to do..
or HOW i'm going to safely transplant..
does anyone have any suggestions?
i was thinking about cutting the old pot..
from the bottom & pushing from the bottom up..
holding the soil in place & gently placing it into the bigger pot..
but, it's easier said than done.. :(

anyway.. any opinions & comments are appreciated..
+REPS to those who can help me..

PIC1 shows the root coming out the drainage hole..
PIC2 shows the pot..
PIC3 shows the inside of the pot..

okay, nevermind..
i'm getting a bag of pro-mix..
in about 3 days, from a friend..
is 3 days much too long?
will i get stunted growth?
since one of the roots are about 4" out of the pot?
someone let me know this.. please..
i don't want any stress on my plant AT ALL.. lol

if 3 days is too long..
i will just have to transplant into miracle gro.. :(

Get the promix, get at least 3 gal pots, or whatever size pot you will flower in, fill the pot up with promix.

Now to transplant, take the pot that its currently in and squeeze the pot to loosen up the soil (this is key or you might break the root ball) Then carefully flip it over, with your baby between your middle fingers to keep the soil back.

Shake it out, root ball and all, Now you will want to remove as much loose soil as possible, get rid of the MG get down to some nice roots, then stick her in the promix, push the dirt up over all the roots, stand her up and water her, if she doesnt stand up pack the soil around her a bit, but dont compact all the soil.

She will be FINE for another 3 days, even a week, its not uncommon for roots to come out the bottom, so dont worry too much, they will get air pruned so you dont even have to trim them.

Yeah so dont worry if you see roots coming out the bottom of the final pot. As long as the soil is nice and airy (promix is great) and it drains properly you will be fine.

bigger pot for this little baby!? roots should appear in bottom of pot

your pot is huge i dont see any reason why you want to do that.

when plant is 3 times higher than your pot than its optimal time to change pots.

PS you dont have to cut pots.. just view some youtube videos..

i know, she's still small yet..
but, her roots are growing out of the bottom already..
there's only one 4" long one coming out..
but, there are others as well.. just not as long..
& eventually will be long, if i don't transplant..

i'll check those videos out though..
thanks :D
