how do you tell the difference between tricoderma mold and cake bruising?

yeah donknow im getting a small 1st time harvest but cakes do suck i need to see more about casing. green blue what the fuck il take a pic in 15 when im done eating dinner

Looks like a bruise. some say that a wet q-tip brushed at the suspected area will come away green - I think for a new person that is a pretty good method - but you don't want to let it get that far if you can help it. Trich will look a little like off white paint chips just before they sporulate, once you get the distinction you will never lose it - you can arrest the growth of trich if caught early and it is not growing from underneith the casing by covering the area with a salt or baking soda solution - long enough to get a flush, maybe even two.

fresh harvested tonight organic b+ from microtech... i threw away my top cakes that were not boomin, it was sketchy with that color shit. the bottom ones will finish and il get like 10 shrooms total. one of the small shrooms was all colored up today and it hasnt been touched so i think its mold. so i will try to finish up and have better luck next time. how do yall feel about eating infected mushrooms?

Some rare strains bruise green ! I've seen it and there is some talk that the green bruising strains have an entirely different chemical makeup.

Not really, but the bruising could be caused by about anything including drying a bit, being struck with water. The word bruise makes it sound worse than it is.

infected is fuckin sick as for the boomers the color in normal light looks like regular blue stem bruising. it seems odd because it seemed to start with the cake and spread. only two are harvested at this point one is blue because i tried scratching to explore the might be mold. like like this shit is instant gratification, i need to learn casing so i dont drop my stupid cakes as i figure which corner of my room to stick it.

the best prevention for any contam after introducing fruiting conditions is Fresh Air Exchange.
also with brusing, you can tell its part of the myc. with trichoderma you will notice the green area in question will look like something attached to the myc. EXAMPLE:

my cakes could have been too dry or wet i wasnt too careful misting and did get the cakes misted. i broke one in half and its white inside. just harvested a few more... there are some left that have a puffy soft white base at the bottom and two nice looking ones i just got have a lighter color cap than the two obvious good ones i took first... any clue? heres pics of the new monsters i unleashed, one is the lighter vs. darker, one is my 4 best ones, and one is a cool veil and cap, one is the soft puffy shit!!

i washed verm off the bottom of the stem with water and it turned blue. i think my cakes got blue because i misted on them. i think my boomers got blue at the same time from the same misting. i also think my puffy white growth may be a moist type issue, maybe directly related to how it was misted. any thoughts?
