Hello neighbor.

Would you please explain how you can run 18 plants in flower when it's 6 per person? Is there some new law I don't know about?

I'd suggest you run trees with vertical lights but that's just me and it depends on your resources and goals and space.

6+6+6=18 and in oregon you are allowed 4 cards per person unlimted caregivers.

that is compleeeeeeeeete overkill do you not think? i'd have thought that 2000w is enough, and that bumping it upto just 3000w would be more than enough.

ever seen 'see more buds'? i can't remember his exact setups as each room was different, but he basically had a combo of say 2 x 600w and 1 x 1000w for growing around 100 plants.

put 4 7 gallon buckets vegged to 3 feet per light , hang the light down the middle of the 4 plants. Bloom and get 5 foot monsters at half pound each at least. Go for 4 lights and 16 plants and do 2 lights veg for 16 more monsters so that ur ready to pop them in every 2 months. Thats 8 pounds every 60 days with 6 lights. Wana have more lights you need more plants.

get air con for both rooms that should be 8000 w right there. Get co2 monitor and burner for bloom room after first crop and get 25 percent more, set it at 1500ppm to 2000 ppm depending on size of mostassssssss.

Dang I knew that. I must have been really baked last night not to put that together.

If it was me I'd do two rooms next to eachother then with your 8 lights on flip flops (or manually flipped every night, or plants moved back and forth ea night) so they can do the work of 16 running 8 bulbs ea room 12 hours per day. I'd ditch the cooltubes in favor of a 24kw a/c.

If you want max yield that is the way. Look at the link below and then you do the math on poundage, it's a lot.

(to the dude that said that many lights is overkill, no, he's not running a little SOG he should be running trees)

OK, first off I understand the plant restriction issue - it's the same here in MI. But here care givers are also only allowed to possess 2.5oz of finished product for each patient. At any rate, growing monster plants is not an efficient way to grow (see the sea of green method). Main reason is that light diminishes by the square of the distance from the light. So if you grow tall plants the light received by the lower parts is much less than the taller parts. There are other canopy issues with this as well.

Also, 8,000 watts is going to get you noticed by your electric usage. IDK about where you live but in MI our grow card does not necessarily mean we can't be prosecuted. The law here considers it an affirmative defense. This is a legal term which means they can still prosecute and you have the burden of proving that you are not guilty for this reason. Self defense is a similar affirmative defense. So even though you might legally be on solid ground you still want to fly under the radar. Plus, remember that the feds don't give a shit about the state laws on this issue so the DEA can still prosecute.

Anyway, for a setup that small you don't need anywhere near that amount of light - read up on it a bit.

Why do you people think that 8k watts is too much for what he is doing? It might be depending on the size of room he is trying to do this in. But if he does have the space to lst or supercrop all of his plants into monster hedges this could work out wonderfully. These plants could easily be 4'x4' little monsters that could use 1000w each. I would suggest using as much light as you can as long as you have the space and can cool them. Also, there is a problem with too much light, not too sure how much it might be, but something to consider.

have u considered how ure gonna even get that much power supply? we had that issue with our 3600 watt setup plus fans inline fans AC etc. u need to run subpanels to the room runnin 8gauge wire and have seperate power box with 230v outlets setup to save power overtime and not trip ur breakers. a standard bedroom is about setup with 15-20amps total. each 1000w lamp uses 9amps. u do the math ull need a lot of ppwer and ya power consumption will b noticed but if its legit ull b fine. were venders to the co-ops here in cali too but im growin 6 indoors trees instead. my outdoor grow right now if huge too. but keep it safe too no fire hazards. hope this helps sum!
