I know you can break a friendship with someone by un-checking there box. . . not sure if this helps or not

No, there is a way to ignore so that you don't even see that person's posts anymore. Thanks anyway though!

HA! FOUND IT! its in your control pannel column under settings - edit ignore list! : )
