How do you pick your strains?

Yeah, price doesn't matter too much but I'm on a very limited budget, so I can't say it doesn't matter at all. If someone is actually taking years breeding and creates something new I'll consider paying more for it than I would something that's been around that everyone is playing with but I'm not paying $500 a pack for hype, if it's any good it will be everywhere in no time at all.

That's the thing about pot, once you send out seeds or clones anyone can grab them and make ok money breeding them without asking an arm and a leg, which isn't a bad thing in my opinion. When you get more and more people working with these top strains you get even more top strains, I think that's why the US strains have come to dominate.

So sure there might be packs worth $500 if you just have to have the newest hype but most people will wait a bit for the price to drop once it gets in circulation.

first you gotta decide what type of high you like.Maybe tell us some of your favorite strains

then people can suggest strains/breeders and tell you where to get them
I made another thread about that "best strawberry strain" but im looking for strawberry tasting sativa with a bit of citrus. emphasis on the "taste and smell"

not sure if it's been mentioned already, but i was just wondering if anyone has any experience with Jinxproof's genetics? He seems like a very humble guy that is breeding for a great cause. I'm defiantly interested in picking up some of that 9# hammer.
Never tried any Jinxproof genetics yet but I have heard many great things about him and his gear. 9lb hammer is some Supa fire I'm pretty sure it won a cup. He has been doing it for a very long time and seems like a good guy. My opinion is you cant go wrong with his gear!

I got a couple of really nice, uber steog and resilient nl plants from a pack of low priced nirvana seeds. Defiately beat out some of the far more expesive seeds ive purchased, such as some shit by soma.

I've been looking for a new strain to grow and I've been overwhelmed by the amount of strains there are right now. Like seriously, there's at least a thousand strains in each category by different breeders that all have the similar descriptions.

How do you decide which beans you pick up?

I am trying to narrow it down to reputable breeders, then reputable distributors, then my preference in strain, then reputable strains.
EXACT. SAME. PROBLEM

I find when you're paying high price seeds from specific seed companies you are mainly paying for the genetics, i'd much rather pay a bit more for my seeds knowing that the lineage and genetics are legit for example if I buy a gorilla glue #4 I want genetics from the original gorilla glue not some remake or somebody elses version of the gorilla glue #4

Dying breed seeds
In House Genetics
Seed Junky Genetics
just a few seed breeders I know of that have real genetics in there strains, they hold some of the original cuts of some of the most sought strains we know, theres many more but cant be bothered to find out and list them all, you can get fire from cheap seeds but I just have pride knowing I'm working with solid genetics. I feel like because of that you have a goo chance d to find that killer pheno that people pay like 70 an eighth for.

what did you expect from a person that believes earth is flat?
Well technically the Earth is flat...

And bumpy and hilly and round and a lot of other shit.

But in all seriousness it is sad in the age of flight and space exploration we still have flat earthers.

It's all a simulation anyways.

I suggest people that have trouble with the 'expensive vs inexpensive' dilemma take some seeds from your favorite pack of non-fem seeds, flower the best male, and let it splooge all over the shirleys. Make seeds, and pop some of what you made.

Once you grok how inexpensive it is to make hundreds of F1s and F2s, you may have a new perspective.

That's why I love all the breeders that still charge 60 or lower for seeds :) I think 40-60 is a fair price for f1s and only pay up to 80 if it's something I really want. Everyone has every good strain now so why should prices still be so high?

Might be loud and abrasive, some love and some hate him.
His gear? Solid as fuck. His stud PCS1(WiFi3 x (Scott’sOG x CasperOG)) is a increadibly strong male that spits out OG progeny on anything it breeds true too. I.e only projects he releases. As things do get tested before release.
His pcs2 (chem4 x PCS1) offers a on average larger yield and shorter plants that have chem and OG traits. Strong chem influences on average in perticular.

all in all after growing a few things from him I’ve found winners.

In terms of qaulity with no tegredy I’d say supa kuai. Not to say I dislike him, he just tells BS stories. If he came out and said his work was from bag seed I’d be popping his gear. But his crippy story is BS. and I hate lies
to many garbage qaulity and no tegredy breeders out thier sadly..

In a summery of breeders I’ve recently ran gear from.
Jungle boys, dissapointed severly with 2 packs of lava kush. Kind of mids with way less TK then I thought thier would be.some didn’t even show TK at all which is suprising considering how common it is in progeny

And a company that’s definitely love or ehh is sincityseeds. Some of thier lines are absolutely banging...some not so much. Tho, I’d say that’s more subjective. I don’t like cookies (don’t hate it, just kind of awkward to me) or jack terps. So the sour and sinmint line was sort of a let down for me baring the sinmints themselves. Thier Bluepower line got me hooked. Glad to see thier gear selling out.

thug pug. Overhyped on the PBB, had some for years and never popped them. Now they are going for 600 a pack. Not bad just not my favorite of the finds at all

Bohdi. If you hate bohdi I’ll stab you. Dude is a legend

that raps up a rant for me. Choose gear on work and integraty. Ifit doesn’t sound like your cup or is shrouded in hype dont jump in is my motto.

If you have ever seen a picture of Bodhi you can just tell he is a good, down to earth grounded, happy go lucky type of guy.
