How do you connect up all those cfls

i have a few cfls and 1 lap holder how do i connect them all up or make a custom circuit board or something ive searched and google and maybe im not typing in the right keywords because i acnt find nothing.

Dude get you a 150 watt hps from High Tech Garden Supply

you have like a million options here. a simple method would be to get a wooden board and screw a load of lampholder batten type to it. the 45' angle ones are good. wire them all up in parallel and im sure i dont need to say the rest, (insert bulbs plug in hang up and all that)

how big is the capopy area? make the board that size and fill it with bulbs.

my veg rooms about 0.8mx0.8mx2m if i do the board thing which i had in mind do i plug it up to an ad adaptor or to the house electricity lyk is the 150wt hps good for seedlings coz the only reason i want cfls is because seedlings cant handle the 600 watter

i see, if its just for a short time you may be better off getting a few of those clip lamp holders, they go for about £3 each. only thing is you will have a plug for each lamp then. what about buying a 60watt cfl and just use the one. you can get them on ebay for about £5-10. 6400k as well. do a search for SAD lights and look for the cfl type.

if you were going ahead with the board idea then just connect them up in turn and put a plug on the other end. unless your using cfls that need some sort of adapter then you wont need one. the household screw in ones have their own control gear attached but you can get 2 and 4 pin ones and i think they will need separate control gear but they are much harder to get hold of, not worth it if your just going to be using them for a short while with seedlings

if you already have the 150watt then use that, it will work with the correct distance and a small gentle fan on the seedlings

whats best for me as for my first grow ive got 1 grow tent 1.2mx1.2mx2m im going to veg them under the 600watter then flower them just need something for the pecka seedling stage lol

but for my 2nd grow maybe even a month into my first grow im going to buy a new smaller grow tent as i stated the measurements earlier for a mother/cloning/veg area so would an mh be best for that room

but for right now ill just get the 150wt cfl for the seedlings

150watt 6400k cfl will do you proud. i use 125watters and they are great. but they wont fit into regular househols sockets mind. they use e40 mogul sockets, same as hids. do you mean 150watt hps? that will work just fine. you could use the 600watt if you kept a good distance away but you would be wasting electricity then.

ill look for a photo of a 125watt cfl to see if we are talking about the same thing

or try a couple of these, i used to use them and they work well

the link is a 20watt cfl and the photos are 125watt cfls. not sure which your asking about

the wilko link thats kool that would be better for me i think are those for veg or flowering though

they are 2700k so not the best. ive found it hard to get cheap 6400k cfls, and i have tried a lot. the best deal i got was a guy on ebay. he does wattages from about 9 to 30 for £5 each. over 30watts the price increases a bit. 65watts is £10. i think there was a couple of quid postage on top of that too but the bulbs are great. they are intended for SAD relief but at the end of the day they are bringht 6400k cfls and MJ loves them

sweet by the sound of your currency i tkae it your a uk brother and if i buy on ebay i cant buy for 3 weeks so i gotta get sum cheap 1s asap just for 2 plants ill pop to homebase or wilkos. in 3 weeks i start my grow i might even do a journal lol
