1. find a cord long and sturdy
2. cut the end with no plug and expose the wires
3. locate a 1/2" opening in the fan.
4. obtain a 1/2" S.O. connector or similar connector like a romex to secure the wire in the fan case so it dont pull out.... even black tape around the wire to protect/secure it will work better than nothing.
5. attach the green wire to the case of the fan there may be a green screw to put it under or a green wire to connect it to.
6. using a wire nut, connect the white wires together and then the black wires together
if wires are not provided there may be a set of screws to put the wires on, they should be labeled - or +, if not one may be a shade lighter
or one wire will have a mark or ridge on it that would be the connection for the negative white wire in the cord (a lamp cord is just 2 wires one is smooth other has a small line/ridge in it)
that is basic stuff for most any electrical hook up
now your fan is rated for 120v? that is green white black wires and the 3 prong cord form your old monitor or psu or vacuum will work fine
if the fan is a 240v model you may want to invite over someone or take it to someone that can hook it up....
make sure to go out of your way so the fire department wont over water your plants!!!
