how do u tell difference between male and female plants and when do u seperate them?

Well that's a simple question with a simple answer, but did you even try to search before you posted? you could have looked in GrowFAQ

when flowering u will either get white hairs growin there female and little pods or balls means its male. White hairs female. Balls or little pods male

As soon as you spot a MALE.. remove HIM

You haven't rushed. 5 weeks in veggie is a decent time. Seems you've got it all good in there. Good luck with your girls
