How do my girls look? (3 weeks left)

This is my 2nd grow and most likely my last. I only did it because I was bored while laid off and I am going back to work soon. I have 4 different strains growing out of 4 DWC 5 gallon buckets with lucas formula under a 600 watt MH bulb the entire time. They are just over 3 months old from germination and have just under a month to go. I am hoping to get some last minute advice on how to get the best results before I harvest them. Sorry for the quality of the pics I dont have the best of camera.

Now I heard some bad things about this particular strain from this company especially that it usually grows as a dwarf. I am not sure if I lucked out but it is the tallest out of all my plants. At first I was worried because it wasnt growing as fast but as soon as I switched to 12/12 it took off. I didnt top this one because I read the strain is not fond of it. It The very top part of the kola has a purple tint to it so im not sure what to expect but im pretty excited about it.

This strain is nothing short of awesome imo. It has grown fast, strong, and never had an issue. I am expecting to get the most out of this one as it has 17 decent size colas on it and quite a few smaller ones that I didnt count. All the buds are growing nice and frosty and it has a bit of a mouth watering scent to it. Hopefully the high is as good as I have read but if anyone was wondering about this I would say go for it.

Dutch Passion Brainstorm:

*sigh* I dont think I was meant to grow this strain. I first tried this strain in my first grow which in itself was a disaster. I made many noob mistakes and both of the strains I was growing suffered gretly because of them. With that said this strain has been a trooper both times. The first grow it suffered from nute burn, over watering, light burn, and a couple other things yet it always bounced back. Unfortunately I dropped something on it the first time around promply killing it. This time around it started out rough. The root grew up while the first set of leaves grew down in the pebbles and it just struggled most of the time. It didnt fair so well until I switched to 12/12 and flushed all the plants. Since then it has slowly started to come around. It currently has 2 colas after topping.

This strain is also pretty awesome. It started out growing as fast and strong as the cheese. Unlike the cheese however it ended up being more stringy and only growing 7 decent size colas (not counting the small ones) Most the buds are just as big the ones on the cheese but this strain is a bit more frosty so far. It is about the same height as the cheese just not as bushy.

Overall I would say im very happy with this grow and it went alot smoother than my first. Each plant except the brainstorm is already nearly twice the size of the first plant I grew and they just seem more healthy. If anyone has any questions I will be glad to answer them. If anyone is interested I am pretty sure I know how to get more than 2 colas from topping as it has happened on 4 out of 5 plants that I have topped.

Yea 17 they are literally everywhere no matter which way you turn the bucket. You can see some of them in the picture but there are quite a few on the side thats not showing. Its not just on this strain either its happened on 4 different types so im pretty sure I know how to make it happen on any strain. Basically I wait until the 3rd set of fan leaves are already growing and the 4th is popping up at the top with the 5th set starting to grow but not developed yet. I then snip the 4th set at the bottom leaving only the first 3. 4 out of 5 plants have grown many colas with 2 of them growing more than a dozen.

I have only ever topped the plants and just let it grow & do its thing. I dont trim fan leaves, fim, scrog, lst, nothing. Sure the under brush doesnt grow that good because of lack of light but I get more than enough colas popping up to make up for it. My first grow I only ended up harvesting 1 plant which was a greenhouse seeds ams that had alot of colas as well. It suffered from many problems that that brainstorm did yet I still managed to harvest 2.5 ounces off of it. Now this is only my 2nd grow ever but the current plants are twice the size with bigger buds so im taking that as a sign that im doing something right with this method since ive read most people are lucky to get an ounce per plant their first few grows.

I do roughly a 4 month cycle from germination to harvest. The first month I only grow it in plain ph water since im terrified of nute burn. After 3 weeks it should be ready for me to top. I then let it heal a week in plain ph water after which it shows signs that its ready for nutes. I then start the veg cycle of the lucas formula and do that for 1 month. After these 2 months pass I switch to 12/12 and flush in plain ph water for a week. I then flower it in the flower stage of lucas formula for the next 7-9 weeks depending on when the crystals turn cloudy/amber.

Now im not sure if this has anything to do with all the extra colas but during the veg cycle I left the light a little to far from the plants and it caused them to stretch a bit. So im not sure if that brought all the extra ones to the top of the plant. Either way they are their own colas with mini colas branching off of them at this point.

Looks good & healthy!
3 weeks to go? For all of them? A couple look like it could be a little longer to me...

Good luck with your grow!

They might very well need a little more time. I was just going by the flower timeframe websites give for each strain. In the end it really comes down to whenever the crystals turn amber
