How do i tell what kind of bulb this is??

What does it look like? Where did it come from?

If it looks like a regular light bulb, chances are it's no good for growing.

If it's a spiraly shaped bulb, then it's a CFL and might be good for growing.

If it looks like a flood light, then it's probably a flood light and no good for growing.

A picture would be very helpful.

It's a CFL, which stands for compact florescent.

Seriously, though, if you can't even identify a light bulb then you have NO business growing cannabis.

That's a 13W or 15W (I think) 120VAC 60Hz 210mA UL #E170906 CFL, and it's good to use.....the more the better. I would go with higher wattage, too.

screw cfls, they can't match HID lighting. so unless you have to use cfls, don't
