How do I stop the site from emailing me?

I tried to turn off all the settings that involve contacting, alerting or emailing me, but the website still emails me every time anything happens. How do I turn off all notifications so the website stops blowing up my inbox? Are these just leftovers from the few threads I was subscribed to before changing my notification settings?

Go to your name top right from the drop down hit preferences and make sure you have "email notifications " unchecked than go to contact details from the drop down menu and make sure email is not checked
