How Do I Start Up A Ballast & Light?

Hello guys, I recently just bought a used 400 Watt HPS Ballast & Bulb, and I have no idea how to get it hooked up and working. Anybody mind helping me out? :-(

you should get a case for it if you dont have one yet. there should be schematics up on some site....see if i can find one.

lol......i dont go over this much. but i get it asked alot. 93 is a numerical greeting used by some in the esoteric systems. it equals love and 93= will.

its a habit for me. i love numbers. they are pure and true, the language of the universe. also music.

love is the law, love under will. this is 93


i wont post this again. so for what it matters to you, you win.

the first one is a wiring diagram for magnetic ballasts. the second has a bunch of help links and other info for hooking up a ballast. i can only lead you to the information. i am very stoned.

i see nothen good comming outta this u need to buy a ballast thats pre-wired ......i know some electric and this is a fire waiting to happen

im telling u if u cant read that diagram like u said id rather u lose $50 than your belongings from a house fire ....i personaly never liked the idea of a ballast outta a box

but thats how it was originally made, its an old brand called ballastronix you can see in google pics that there is no case

Yeah, you can buy a new one for that much. Like the guy above said, if you can't read any of the diagrams you have been provided with, you aren't fit to be wiring it. Save up some money and get a pre-built ballast.
