You put a Hygrometer in your room and read what it tells you. The only way to know if you need less or more humidity is to measure what it is. I bought a thermometer/ hygrometer at Menards for like $10.00 or less, there are better ones available. VV

the only reason you would need a dehumidifier is if your relative humidity is very high. like vic vicious said get a hygrometer to measure the humidity

You will know when you buy a hygrometer.
If its anywhere above 60% humidity, you need to buy a dehumidifier, and keep
it anywhere from 45-55% humidity in the room. Any higher than that and you will
basically be inviting mold into your grow. Along with some other critters that will
be hard to get rid of.
