How do fix over dry buds?

I let my buds air dry for to long and now they are crispy and (although they've only been "curing" for a week) they smell like grass

the grass smell is normal.. it will go away the longer you cure them..
you can always take a small fresh cut leaf and put it in the jar with the dry bud.. some people use fruit slices or orange peels or apple peels to help out as well.. only put whatever your going to use in the jar for an hour or so because if you leave it in for too long, it can cause other problems... once the buds re moisten, take out the whatever it was you used and toss it..

I had a buddy that used a quarter or half a piece of bread in his bag for a day. As racerboy said, don't leave it in too long otherwise you can get moldy buds.

give them at least 4 weeks in a jar before u start getting worried buddy, you want to get the best cure possible, its the most important part of your grow, for reals.

once you put it in a jar all the moisture will come out of the stem.. its part of the decomposing process. keep burping your jars daily. dont put anything in the jar yet to moisten it if you havn't put it in a mason jar yet... im serious, it will get wet on its own again..
if the stem doesn't snap, put it in a jar with a cap

Just curious, how long did it dry so that it ended up crispy? I had the same problem a couple of years ago when I had to leave and had no choice but to let my buds dry for almost 3 weeks before jarring and curing them. Even though I added a piece of lettuce to bring back the moisture and opened the jars every day for half hour, the taste and potency was not the same as a properly dried and cured plant. Good luck with yours.

I've used a slice of bread before, but 1 baby carrot stick does the trick best. Leave it in the jar for couple hours an check, leve longer if u need to, but check at least every couple hours
