How Do Commercial Grow Operations *Dry and Cure* After Harvest?

Friends and family,

I am just curious of the process they go through.. I know in essence the same things are required, like slow dry, RH at the right percentage, temperature.

I am more curious as how they are able to store for curing when the amount of weight is probably very high.

I as a hobbyist am used to storing for curing in small mason jars and a humidity pack after a few weeks for long term storage. I would imagine they use large containers of some sort.

How do commercial growers do this?

Please chime in if you have any knowledge in this arena. Thx:cool:

I'm sure a lot of them just dry it without curing it but the best way is in my opinion is to dedicate two rooms for both drying and curing. Set the temps for one room to dry and once trimmed and properly dried put it in the curing room. I also seen larger machines that looks big proofers, like the ones bread, that you sticks buds in to cure.

Honestly there becomes a point where curing must be done by the end user. Sort of like if you have a unit or 3 or 4 or 5 or more extra and you getting a showing at a dispensary and they want it, your not going to say no i just got done trimming this i need another mont to cure it. Most of the time your lucky to get a week cracking turkeys.
As far a drying, same as hobby or anyone else. Hanging plants or branches no using those screen racks.
