When you grow indoors to throw plants into the flowering stage yu give em 12/12 of light. HOw does this work outside wihtout having to cover the plants for a period of time?

the hours of daylight change as we move through the seasons, changing to 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness in late fall

I read in high times if you flower for 2-4 weeks indoors and place outdoors that there is a good chance it would continue to flower and finish outside regardless of the light outside. This might be true if you take into account how long a plant takes to re-veg.

true, but it also means shock and stress, which means hermies, which means a ruined crop and worthless beans.

not a good idea, i promise.

i had a specific plant that flowered as a late showing hermi. you can work to supress these traits. when you have hermie in your jenetics it can mean you bomb your room.

My Super Shiva hermie has not been showing in 2 generations. this plant still produces monsteous vigor. hermie is genetic. you guys keep claiming plants go hermie.......

this is usually bred into the plant. you can use chemicals like j. acid to make male flowers. you can do this to make fem. seeds. if you could just shock a plant into self polonation there would be no more males needed. the genetics we use today are inbred over and over, the purity of marijuana has changed this practice has evolved like many other things today. some strains like powerplant have very high genetic flaws. but big ass resin glands.

What if i want my plants to finish by the end of july. IS it just one of those things that happens on its own time?

as you just said, you can force a plant to produce male flowers. that called.....

a hermaphrodite!!

yep, that's right, plants can herm conditionally (which happens way more often that a true genitic herm) and if selfed, can and often do produce hermaphrodite offspring. you see, when a female is both the mother and the father, the beans are essentially clones of the mother. if the mother is genetically a hermie, then so will be the offspring.

Genetics within your plant are bad to begin with if that practice doesn't work. Meaning the plant already has a recessive Y chromosome. The plants used for making feminized plants from what I understand are the ones that cant' be stressed into producing male flowers. They use Giberillic acid to give the plants the hormones necessary to product flowers. Don't use junk genetics and you shouldn't have a problem.

Cool. My seeds that i ordered and i have recieved stated that growing time outdoors is 9-10 weeks. So i am guessing that they should follow a growing time period of nine to ten weeks without to much enticement?

I think i may have gotten the number of weeks wrong. So when they say 8-9 weeks does that mean it the flowering stage is 8-9 weeks, or does it mean 8-9 weeks till flowering stage? OR 8-9 weeks in total for the growing period?

You can send an outdoor plant with a large trash can..got to cover it on a 12/ 12 ,,,Started some may of 2006 and had a sweet harvest early august
Gotta have a stealth area as well..Nieghbors might notice you covering and un covering
My buddy had a 9 ounce return on a plant doing this last year
Had to let mother nature take over once it was time to start ties..but by that time, your weeks away anyways..By time your plant chemically changes its harvest time
good luck
