How Do Bottom of Rapid Rooters Stay Humid?

First batch of clones 65 outta 72 made it just fine. This second batch, taken four days into flowering didn't have as much luck at all. It looks like 35 of the 72 will make it. I had a friend doing work with me that night, he was the one putting them into the dome and making the final cut... I'm curious if maybe he fucked up or this is typical of clones taken during flower to have a 50% survival rate? Just trying to figure out what to expect when I take more cuts about 5 weeks from now for my next cycle. Took twelve days for both batches to show roots...

Could be a combo of both,

When I take clones from a flowering plant It takes them longer to root so you gotta figure a lower survival rate.
When I cut them from the lower branches a week before I flower I get 100%
Thing is I only get two or four cuttings from each plant.

I would say your survival rate could be increased with better care but why not take them before flower?
Maybe I missed something.

You could always take twice as many cuttings.

The first time I did take them during veg, second time I just had lots of growth I still wanted to get rid of in the flowering room and figured why throw those away - trying to get as much experience doing this as possible.

got a new batch of clones going now.... took them off my sour diesel mom that isn't in ideal health..shes doing okay though.

i started them two weeks ago sunday so they are about 11 days in. last time i cloned some SD i got roots in 11 days, i'm hopeful these ladies can sprout around the same time despite having a mom not in perfect health.

i am starting to see some yellowing of the leaves...im guessing this means root structures are coming soon!!! very exciting.
