They will choke out one another or one will live but either way I'm surprised they got that far trim the bottom yellowing leaves and see what happens.

you can do 2, 4 even 10 plants in a pot if its really big or the plants are very small
but you always get one that sucks the nutes up better than the rest of them
Still can save some hassle when doing auto`s or outside grows, if you want a bunch of 10g to 60g plants in a big pot over a bunch of them all over the place
but yeah transplanting them can be hard

I've never understood why people say one plant per pot. If it's big enough and they're fed properly I see a problem except transplanting like you said. Other than that it works fine in dwc tubs, nft, aero i'm sure there are more examples of multiple plants in the same tub growing just fine.
