How "dangerous" is pollen?

Pollen-chucking is the technical term. Scorned and reviled by breeders everywhere but like with computer software I want copies as backups. That's why they are mostly selling feminized seeds these days. They want us to have to keep buying their overpriced beans forever.

A lot more money in seeds than the pot a plant can grow. Half or more of the breeders stole the genetics from some earlier breeder so what's wrong with making some of your own eh.

You can always turn it into a breeding project if you want. Lots of info out there about how to develop your own "one off" strain if you are into it.

I always get seeds from a single strain to get more of the same beans. I also cross my different strains to see what kind of crosses come out of it or improve one I have. Like a box of chocolates.

Thanks for the tips! Im mostly interested in keeping myself with lots of beans, i'm over trying to pick out stuff I want, and then backups when its sold out. Let alone paying for it all. Ideally I'd like to get some old afghani and hindu kush stuff and playing with that stock. making my own from there.

I actually bought some Afghani seeds from Crop King but I don't know why. Was at a hydro store spending a grand and they only had three strains of regular seeds so I got those, Blueberry and Original Skunk. I grew Afghani years back and didn't like it so I'm sending that 5 pack to a buddy on another forum and he can grow them out. I grew 3 of the OS but they were so scrawny and pathetic looking I tossed them out when they were about a month old.

The 3 Blueberries are doing fine with one being a male so I'll be making seeds on both the girls that started 12/12 on 4/20.

I'm getting into mainly CBD strains and have an Otto#1 female that I'll cross with the BB plus some AK47 and Critical Mass that will get a few buds each dusted. Going to try colloidal silver on one of the Otto clones to see if I can get some pollen and make some fem beans with many of the strains in my inventory. Most of what I have is from trading with other forum pals the last 10 years.

So many strains, so little time.

that last part is so true. and so little space! i could always have more tents, more plants. more bills. haha.

Yeah i've never heard anything positive about crop king. I'm not quite sure how I'd go about getting them. I know a few breeders work with that stuff, even Bodhi might be a breeder to look to. Some of his supernaturals line looks really good. I think I may shell out for some good cdb beans. Im flying solo in an illegal state so I am essentially under a rock minus the internet. I have read a lot but I think I just need to try it for myself. I have some issues with stress and anxiety so I'm hoping I can find something that might help that.

I also was given two bay 11 beans a few years ago, and I had to flower out my mother, Thankfully I found 2 beans in that grow, So i can try and save it again. I'd love to have more of that to breed. my last two seeds gave me a male and female, but I was a noob and killed off the male. Still am noobish, but more experienced than then. TBH that bay 11 is some of my favorite I've had and it made me feel good. Maybe cross it with some of this purple wookie, for the medical and narcotic effects. i'm just guessing and talking out of my ass now.

I found a great spot to download FREE POT BOOKS. I downloaded a grow bible first and got lots more. Books look great and complete like the real ones I have here. No web site but just a page of links. Just right click on what you want and then "Save Link As" to download so they don't open first as some are 50+ megs. They got lots. Enjoy.

Another solution is to buy that fine cannabis at the dispensary. People with top knowledge at the counter and you just know there are geniuses growing it from the high quality.
