How cold is too cold???

Humid rooms tend to stay hotter longer due to the fact that water molecules hold heat quite well. In any case, I'd say 58 is getting a bit too cold...seriously do you like being in a 58 degree room for very long...No of course. The lowest I'd go is 65 maybe 62 at night if I had to make some compromises. Generally the closer you are to the 70-75 range the better growth you'll get. Even dropping temps to 65 at night and you should still see purple buds form on certain genetics.

...heat raises humidity. Cold lowers humidity...you've got that backward Shootngbear.

Mj stops growth @ 57F. The closer to 75F (for most strains) the happier the lady.

Heat doesn't raise humidity water content in the air does (indoors)...In the case of my bed room it's very hot and fucking dry so I have to use a humidifier which just makes the room hotter (because the water molecules in the air are trapping thermal energy). You can visibly see on a thermostat my room is about 2 degrees hotter when it has an RH of 30-40 (normally my RH is only in the single digits to teens). Now thats fucking dry!

You are correct however in the natural world, when it's hotter more water evaporates and goes into the air making it more humid. For instance, it's cold as balls where I live and it still rains and snows meaning the RH outside must be close to 90-100 range mostly do to minor heat level changes.

roots grow at night, roots do not grow if the soil temp is below 68 air temps at 65 are ideal for the "not to let temps drop more than 10 degrees" idea. 72-77 degrees F is ideal for day time temps during veg. try not to let temps drop more than 10 degrees ;-)

during night time. during flowering i try to keep my temps around 68 degrees F at all times.

from everything i read the ideal temp drop at night is 15 degrees and they produce more resin

Your plants do not get used to temps in the fifties. Temps in the fifties will slow/stop growth. You really don't want your lights out temps to drop below sixty if possible.

Good lookin out everyone, and thanks for all the advice. I opened up a port on my furnace so its letting out heat in to the basement, and now im at 77-81 f lights on, and 63-65 F lights off. Well c how they react over the next few days to c if its at all that better then 58 F. Ill deffinetly sleep tight knowing its not as as cold in my grow room as it is outside today :bigjoint:

Well, I just took some pics during there lights off period. There about 40 days old from seed. The temp is at 64 F now, and they look pretty damn droopy. Don't know exactly whats causing this, but they do perk up when light is on. Is this normal? Do they look healthy?

They usually droop a little when lights are off....
How is the PH of your soil that may be your main reason and this could also be because of to much or not enough water.....

If all those are fine than i wouldn't worry to much looks like you could feed em a little more nitro and add some Magnesium sulfate AKA epson salt. Other than that they look good.

Thanks man. Ive been watering them with technaflora nutes that has been ph'd to 6 or so. I also got some earthworm castings that are chalked full of nitrogen, but haven't used any yet. I know your sopposed to mix it in with the soil, but can I just sprinkle it on top?
