How Close Can Nft Plants Get, Tray or Guttering Pvc ?

Hey everyone, I have a ntf tray 6ft long about a foot wide and was wondering how close i could put the plants in 4" cubes and how tall I let them grow before i flower them ? ive heard a lot of plants will create a canopy a lot quicker than less plants topping but will create the same yeild, is this right ?

I was also thinking of makin my own system out of guttering or pvc tubing but was wondering if I need sreader mat or if this is not enough room for the roots using the cubes or if i should use clay pebbles with net pots and sprinklers instead?

no not of the tray sorry and the pvc i havnt done yet so i dont have any of that either ...

no roots can grow just fine pretty close this is because of top growth. plants will get big and need space between them. If your doing a perpetual type grow, make a couple trays (or pipes) with 2" holes about 2" aawy from each other these will support clone and seedling till ther about a foot and ready to be put into the larger trays for flowering. but if just a sinle grow use one big tray for large plants start to finish.

any 1 how long should the roots be o n my plants at 3 weeks onld in nft trays 1 plant looking drowsy will have pics latter 2 night i tried 2 sort this over nite but my computer went down

it was supposed 2 say droopy on leave n they r small comperd 2 other plant any help would be good had trouble from start just want 2 relax n get a good smoke off them but there like a baby n taking most my time up
