Hi! Im an outdoor grower! My little seedlings are 5 days old but my problem is that its a little cold outside and I had to bring them in but inside they dont get enough light from the windows. Is there a way to maybe put it on direct light and put the seedlings i a container and keep the warmth inside? Thx for the help!

Can you build a little coldframe? Basically a wooden box with a clear plexiglass top angled to the south? Here in Maine people use these to plant seedlings in early spring when it's still cold...

Why the rush. Coldframe would be the way but becareful they can cook those babies even when its colder than that

You would definitely want to monitor the temp inside and ventilate as needed. I built some coldframes for my wife that have a mechanical thermostat that opens the lid automatically during the day if gets warm inside the enclosure. But that may be more $$ and time than you want to spend. Just put a thermometer in there and keep a close eye on it.

I'm just about ready to get some seedlings going (first time) and was actually thinking about using one of the cold frames (if my wife will let me!)--seems ideal if you're going to grow outside to start the seedlings in the natural sun. I suppose I could just bring them in each evening and put them out each morning...but if you forget one night the cold could kill 'em.
