Should i cut away some of the bigger leaves that might be eatin up light?

im seeing alot of purple on the stems and along the main stalks, does that indicate kind bud?

I've been using jack's classic along the entire veg state, i also have the jack's classic blommom booster 10-30-20 that i was hoping to start once i cut it back to 12/12 but my timer wasnt working so i fed it 3 days on the blossom booster on 24hr light but now im on just water...is it ok to just change the fertilizer like that or should i give a few days of plain water before giving it the blossom booster?

Purple in normal, its part of the genetics of the plant. Do not cut away the fan leaves.

DO NOT PANIC. Do not cut the fan leaves. A seedlings purple stem doesn’t necessarily indicate an unhealthy plant. Please take the following possibilities into consideration:

1 - Purple Stems could be a result of that wonderful thing we call genetics, if this is the reason, you are to expect a purple stem throughout the life of the plant. It must be noted that purple stems aren’t a dominant trait, and are rarely genetically induced.

2 - A baby sprout with a purple stem is almost always 100% natural. Young seedlings are still adjusting to their environment and may be slightly lacking in a Nutrient. If this is the case, healthy plants will regain their green/greenish-brown color within a few days to a week or two.

3 - If you have ruled out the possibilities of genetics and the seedlings adjustments to life, you should begin looking for a nutrient deficiency. Purple stems are commonly caused by a Phosphorous (P) or Magnesium deficiency, if there is a P deficiency you may also notice symptoms such as brittle leaves or greyish spots. To assist the uptake of Phosphorous (as well as most other nutes) you should ensure the pH is slightly acidic-- 6.0 will suffice.

yea i had the light too close for almost a week, could not get to it for that time. as far as nutrients i gave it lots nitrogen in the begining, blood meal i think, and then started with the jack's 20-20-20, i did the 1/4 teaspoon in a gallon and watered about every day...i have the hps 1'1/2 to 2foot from the plant now, and in a more accessable place....this is my second grow but first with hps and the new fertilizers

No need to water every day, nor is there a need to use fertilizers with every watering. Get a moisture meter at your local nursery and use it to monitor your plant's water needs. They cost about six dollars and are invaluable in growing. Use the fertilizer at 1/4 strength every third or fourth watering.
