How 2 Get the BEST Taste from curing..

Well my first grow is flowering now. I was wondering if any experienced growers out there could tell me how to achieve the best taste during my harvest. I have read all the common ways to dry/ cure. I have tasted some other peoples harvest and they taste like hay but still get you high. I don't want my babies to taste like shit....Any Suggestions? Thanks....

intitially hang upside down for a couple days in a dark room with good airflow or until dry on the outside. Then put in an airtight bag for twenty hours to let the moisture redistribute then open for 4. repeat for a week and there ya go. Some people also let the nug dry, then soak in cold water overnight to get rid of the chlorophyll then dry again and cure...

That hay taste can be a result of early harvesting so it is important not to harvest them to early.

just browse through this section of the forum, plenty of ideas on here. some ppl like to use jars some bags just look 'round

the key to having a great taste and smell is making drying and curing take as LONG as possible

that means instead of hanging your buds upside down and drying them in 3-7 days, try putting them in an opaque paper bag and allowing them to dry for two weeks. the paper of the bag will suck the moisture very slowly from the bud. and then cure them slow-dried buds for a good long month, maybe even two months, after that you will have the best buds around my friend!

if ya go with the paperbag method though try to not let the buds touch the side of the bags, it will rub the trichomes off and you will lose potency and smell

Hang up side down in your closet for 1-3 days or until dry. keep the stims long so you can snap them to see if the snap and not bend. Once the stims snap put them in "A AIR TIGHT GLASS JAR" and release the air every so often for a couple weeks. Dont use plastic bags the are not air tight.

You will know when they are down kinda like baking cookies when you open up the jar and it slaps you in the face its time to gets high yo.

great tips and method guys. I like the paper bag method you got there Hippieman, The buds will taste better after about 2 months of curing huh? some people say 2-3 weeks. I'm patient so if its better to wait then I will.
