hot box the grow room?

Would hotboxing a grow closet with a blunt help get rid of some pest such as thrips and aphids? or would it jus make them really high? will it hurt the plant more than help it is what im trying to say? :eyesmoke:

Haha, I don't think it'll help...I try to hotbox my room all the time, but my ventilation system just sucks out the smoke...It's actually an awesome place to toke when the fans are on, cause I get a constant supply of fresh air...lol

yea well i came up with the idea when i was high. so i was thinking jus turnign off the ventilation and have it sit in there for maybe 7 minutes. i would think that the bugs would jus fall right off cause there so high.

I don't think thats true, either...lol...It's not like he's gonna smoke a cigar in the room and leave it all night...a few minutes of a miniscule amount of tobacco from a blunt wrap wont do much...But you don't want smoke in general stagnating around your plants...

And what makes you think nicotine will poison the plants? Some people put cigarettes in water, soak overnight, and spray this on their plants to help with minor pest issues, and I've never heard about any ill effects from this foliar nicotine feed...

I don't think thats true, either...lol...It's not like he's gonna smoke a cigar in the room and leave it all night...a few minutes of a miniscule amount of tobacco from a blunt wrap wont do much...But you don't want smoke in general stagnating around your plants...

And what makes you think nicotine will poison the plants? Some people put cigarettes in water, soak overnight, and spray this on their plants to help with minor pest issues, and I've never heard about any ill effects from this foliar nicotine feed..

i was thinking maybe do it once a week for only 7 minutes of stagnant the air wit the blunt. than power up the fans to blow away all the stoned pest! ha! it seems like it could be the same effect at tobacco juice. Maybe someone more experienced than me can elaborate on the chemistry of tobacco juice and hotbox. very appreciated!

nicotine is poison to plants.real horrible shit for them.go into a smokers house and look at their houseplants they look like crap all the time.nicotine in a big dose will kill a human even.

I sprayed my plants with tobacco/soap water before a couple times trying to control mites. Didnt seem to effect the plants much and only wounded the mites for a time.

pest problem? smoke a cig in ther. i hot box in my grow almost 95% of the time. also ther was a bug my hot shots vapor release didnt kill, i took some bong rips then outa no wer he fell outa the sky (indoor still) then i smashed him with the plastic case hot shots come in haha

so when did you apply the spray? right before lights off or lights on? will this work for thrips also?

haha so it was worth buying. lol so does hotboxing work effectively throughout your grow with minimal damage done to your plants?

phuket! my last resort! i am going to spray with tobacco juice. its is 5th week into flowering' but thing thrips are very ugly on my plants!
