Looks about right to me. You could push them another week but you will be good with what you are planning to do.
yep abm, i agree. problem is i have a trip then, so i have to pull them a little early. don't know why that always seems to happen to me around harvest time...

thanks cd, i appreciate the bump bro! and yeah, ideally i would go an extra week, but gotta do what gotta do...

so this morning i found some bud rot on the top of the blueberry cola. i inspected the rest of the plants and found nothing else, but this kinda freaked me out. to be safe, i used my fiskars to cut off the top 2 inches of the top cola on the blueberry, got rid of the rotten parts, and saved the rest for a quick dry.

here's what she looks like after the circumscission...

Ouch! That BB isn't going to be happy now.
Good luck with those,
I especially want to see the AO turn out well,

hey c.indica, thanks for tuning in. so you think the rest of the plant will suffer from the top bud being cut? let me know what that's about... in any case, i plan to pull the blueberry very soon, in the next few days.

the agent orange is looking beatiful at the moment -- i'll post a few new pics tonight or tomorrow.

yeah, it's pretty awesome. first time growing outdoors, lots of nice surprises so far!

what are your thoughts on partial harvesting? i have to leave on a trip soon, so i'm thinking i might harvest the main colas pretty soon (within the next week or so) and leaving the bottoms to finish out for 3 more weeks...

I had to chop some of my black dominas colas early cus of bud rot and I left the lower buds and they fattened up nice ...just make sure your scissors are clean and sharp when you make the cut

Looking niiice homer...Sorry to hear about the rot, but that AO looks as good as she smells! Maybe I'll come back up this winter and we can all sit around the fire out on the patio drinking cocoa and smoking each others outdoor...I'll bring my girl up this time. Haha...keep up the good work! I think I have some rain coming in the next few days, have you been covering your girls at all for the morning dew?

guess what brotha, i'm smoking that nug you gave me... very awesome stuff! i mostly avoided the rain (a couple nights in the hippie room, one night next to the wall with the overhang). couldn't get to it yesterday afternoon though, they got kinda wet. luckily there were glimpses of sun today and they're in better shape.

hell yeah bro, almost party time at homers!!! LoL.
haha, hell yeah cd!! seriously man, i'm bringing the blueberry in tonight for a day of darkness and i think i'll chop her sunday!

once i chop, i'll dry the plant whole for 5-6 days, then do a rough trim, then put in paper bags for a day or two, then do a tight trim and into jars. and then siv the trim ;)

bumpity bump, and also:

i'm smoking a sample bud i took off blueberry a few days ago. first smoke report: very nice; comes on a little edgy but subsides nicely. good for listening to music and writing on rollitup. smells very fruit as well. good shit.

agent orange and white widow are cut and hanging!

here's a sample bud from each that will dry faster so i can sample it faster :)

i'm weighing the plants as they dry.

wet weights (including main stalks) were:
blueberry: 6oz
white widow: 9oz
agent orange: 9.2oz

after 4 days of drying, blueberry is at 2.3oz. stems are still bending, not snapping, but sugar leaves are getting very crispy, so (i hope) i'm close.

after 2 days of drying, white widow is at 5.3oz and agent orange at 5.6oz.

my guesses for dry weight are 1.6 (blueberry), 2.2 (white widow) and 2.4 (agent orange), which would be awesome at over 6oz, with only 3 weeks veg. next year, bigger and better!

thanks cd! appreciate that bro. it's been quiet around here, lol.

it's been 5 days of hang-drying for blueberry, and the stems were almost snapping, so i took the liberty of cutting the buds off and putting everything except the stems in a paper bag (without trimming the sugar leaves off yet). the weight on that is 1.5oz, so i'm gonna revise my guess for dry weight for blueberry at 1.2oz, once the sugar leaves are off and the final shrinkage happens.

the other two girls have another couple days on the hangers...

Looks like a great turn out. The one on the left is agent orange and the one on the right is white widow :) glad to see you are growing again.

you're damn right bird, damn right. good to see you again bro!

the girls are jarred and curing, final weights:

blueberry: 1.0oz
white widow: 1.2oz
agent orange: 1.3oz

all in all, a successful grow. temps went up in the drying room a bit on the 5th day, so the white widow and agent orange got a little crispy, but luckily the sugar leaves absorbed most of that crispiness. they all smell great, with just a day or two of curing, so hopefully they will improve with time and last me until my next grow (???)
