Homemade rdwc setup, couple questions

so basically i am making my version of the under current system, 8 gallon totes or rectangle buckets. 6 per system with airstones and control bucket, and hard pipe connecting each bucket.

so heres my final debate do i go with 2 inch seals and pipe and order uniseals off line and wait another cpl weeks or run 1 1/4 inch pipe and seals and get everything tomorrow from the grow shop.....


let me know if the 2 inch is a necessity

and also with 6, 8 gallon totes how big of a pump do i need to circulate the water i was thinking around 1k plus a control bucket

If you plan on using the system for a long time I think you should take the time to build it the way you really want it.
I get my uniseals from BulkReefSupply.c I pay around $3.75 each and they where delivered in 2 days from placing the order.
As far as pump size, If your running a water chiller you'll need to match the pump to the size chiller, if not 1000gph is more than adequate. I think CCH2o provides a 250 or 500gph pump for a UC system that size.
